Local Wildlife

Being situated in the Lake District National Park, the wildlife around Bampton Grange has been able to thrive without threat.

Red squirrels can be found rustling about in the churchyard opposite, and the River Lowther which flows through our hamlet is home to some lovely otters.

Bird life is thriving too, for those who have a keen eye, you can sometimes spot the odd kingfisher -and in nearby Riggindale you can find the RSPB hide to spot England's only Golden Eagle.
